剧情介绍

法瑞尔饰演的国税审计员最近总觉得耳边总有一个声音在念叨，就像是生活片段的旁白，而他生活过的或是即将经历的尽在旁白中，这令他惊诧不已。深居简出的作家艾玛·汤普森正在倾力完成最新作品，她并不知道故事的主人公就生活在现实中，而其生活的际遇与她笔下的文字不谋而合，故事的结局就是主人公的悲惨离世。虚构与现实正在奇怪地交织，迫在眉睫的法瑞尔只好求助于文学教授达斯汀·霍夫曼，而作家凯润·艾菲在出版社的催促下加快了写作的速度. 主角通过文学教授的帮忙, 找到了作者, 希望改变自己的悲惨结局, 但是文学教授觉得, 如果改变了结局将会破坏作品美感. 于是法瑞尔决定勇敢的面对结局. 最终, 作者还是改变了结局, 将主角带入这一连串故事的手表最终拯救了主角, 将故事划上一个完美的句号.

影片外景地全部选在芝加哥。而以导演风格天马行空为特点的导演马克也是第一次执导喜剧片。显然他日渐已经开始有了自知之明，但是这并不能彻底打破他执导风格不定的弊端。但至少，这部影片最后保持了它的趣味性，法瑞尔的表演到位，而汤普森尤其出色。预计这部影片将会有一个长期的上座潜力。

主演法瑞尔已经成为好莱坞主要喜剧演员之一。回顾法瑞尔的力作，《塔拉迪加之夜：瑞奇·鲍比的民谣》和《王牌播音员》等喜剧片都取得了非常好的票房。所以此次拍摄《笔下求生》也将是对法瑞尔粉丝的一个检验——在此前的众多喜剧片中迷上他的观众，有多少人能够改变品位，继续走进《笔下人生》的电影院。毕竟，这部影片中的他走的绝对不是幽默风了。在这部片子中，法瑞尔非常巧妙地将喜剧天分掩饰起来，把主人公的痛苦表现得淋漓尽致。
