剧情简介

在一个无处不在的丧尸已经威胁到了人类的生活的世界，科罗克特带领一帮武装部队从无休止的混乱中撤出，寻找一个丧尸尚未侵入的庇护所。途中他们遇见了遭到放逐的家族长老帕特里克·欧弗林，欧弗林告诉他们，在一个偏远的渔岛上有这样一个新的乐土。

然而，当科罗克特一行踏上海岛后，才发现事实并非如此。很快，他们陷入了欧弗林家族与他们的仇家穆顿斯家族之间持续已久的争斗中。真相渐渐显现，欧弗林当初被逐出岛上，就是因为他坚持要将僵尸赶尽杀绝，而穆顿斯则认为不应对本已经遭受痛苦的亲人们下手，并尝试照顾那些变成丧尸的亲属们，等待他们痊愈的一天。变成丧尸的人被锁在自己的家中，假装过着正常的生活。事实证明这样维护家园稳定的做法是行不通的，它将带来更加血腥的后果，一场绝望的战斗将决定活人与丧尸之间能否和平共存。
